It was in pretty bad shape when it was discovered on the streets of Kolkata, India. Its hind legs were bandaged, making it impossible for it to move, and one of its numerous wounds had turned septic and was being eaten away by maggots.
When the Good Samaritans discovered her, they assumed she had been mutilated by another dog.
Scooter was gently picked up and sent to an animal hospital where she received treatment for two broken hind legs and septic wounds. This poor dog’s road to recovery was long.
Scooter was finally ready to join a family after months of treatment.
According to Paw My Gosh, Alexandra Gade cared for Scooter for months before moving her to Virginia to live with her new family, who nicknamed her Dobby.
