It’s really heartbreaking when your family leaves a dog. Sometimes families may not know how to care for sick or elderly dogs and end up unknowingly abandoning them, causing them immense suffering. Ray, an 8-year-old Labrador retriever, was recently found wandering the streets of Torrance, California alone. His sight was sad, to say the least: sad, crusty eyes, a body that seemed too thin for his breed, and fur that was missing in places due to malnutrition.
The staff at Carson Shelter in California saved Ray from a dire situation. Thanks to the volunteers, Ray’s health improved, but he still seemed down. Ultimately, he was given up for adoption. Interestingly, the demand for senior dogs is not very high.
Great news! Ray finally found a loving home and is no longer up for adoption. Despite his troubled past, he is still affectionate towards people and continues to show them love. It was heartbreaking to see him in the video looking so depressed and sad. However, we are optimistic that in time, her spirits will lift and she will receive the care and attention she deserves.
