A couple of years ago, Lieschen O’Neill went to visit the Lawrence Humane Society in Kansas just to look, but as she says, “no one goes to the Humane Society just to look.”

True to her words, Lieschen ended up falling in love with a dog and returning home with him. This dog, which he named Belle, ended up literally changing his life.

You see, Belle is no ordinary rescue dog. She’s very different than any other dog you’ve ever seen, but that only makes people love her even more.

When Belle was about a year old and slowly reaching her adult size, her family began to notice something different about her.

He always looked a little different, but as he got older, it became more obvious.

There was something interesting going on with her eyes that made her look surprised or shocked all the time.

Shortly after noticing that there was something a little different with Belle, her family took her to the vet.

They took her to the vet to have her eyes and face checked, and the vet told them that Belle had likely become trapped in the birth canal during the birth process, which caused her muscles to stretch back and grow a little. different.

“As a result, everything was a bit pushed back. That’s why her eyes look a little bulging, but it’s all there and she’s perfectly fine,” Belle’s mom told We Love Animals.

Sometimes his eyes get a little dry, but they have prescription eye drops for dogs to give him when he needs them.

Everything is fine with her, she just has a unique look.

Unique and beautiful.

When Lieschen first entered the Lawrence Humane Society years ago, Belle was in her cage, but as soon as she saw them, she ran over to them and put her little face against the door.

She was so full of energy and wanted to be petted.

“She just jumped into my lap, licked my face and at that moment, we knew we were going home to Belle. It was a great day,” Lieschen said.

Right now, they can’t even imagine their life without their Belle. She has been such an important part of their lives since she was adopted.

To them, Belle is the best dog they could have asked for, despite being a little different.

Belle is a great companion, a good listener, and overall the best dog.

One thing Belle loves more than anything is slippers.

“He loves slippers so much that he loves wearing them around. Maybe grab one or two slippers, sometimes even three slippers, and see how many you can fit in your mouth and just carry them around,” Lieschen said.

Aside from her unique looks and love of slippers, Belle is just a normal dog who loves treats, naps, being petted, and obviously her family.
